Oh, good for you. I got back to riding after stopping for a number of years. I'm 59 (yes honestly) and it was a tad painful at first but I persevered and now it's almost like it was when I was young. I've started showing again and now we are three generations of women riding and showing together. This is from a while ago when we had my son in law snap a pic of us. This is me, my daughter who is 40 and my granddaughter who is 10, left to right. We don't have that big old guy in the center anymore but he got my daughter started riding again after a bad experience when she was quite young. Like you though, I'm careful to leave the broncs to the youngsters. Hope you stay with it. I didn't know how much I missed it until horses got back in my life.

Very kewel! Ride more often! We want more pictures of you on the back of a horse! Nice looking horsie, too...I hope you gave him some nice carrots and/or treats after your ride.

I was very lucky that my friends took the horse to pony club for me. If I am lucky they may bring the mare in more next year. Club is basically finished for the year now.

You have Sam to thank for taking the pics. The poor kid had been dragged along on yet another horsey weekend.

At least my position on the flat isn't tooooo bad considering the time I have been out of a saddle. As I was not planning on jumping anything over a foot high I hadn't bothered to pull the stirrups up.
