Admittedly, I was just screwing around on the day this picture was taken. I'm in jeans, riding in my dressage saddle. But I figured, what the heck. You guys can tell me all the mistakes I'm making! Aaah, Isis has horrible form too. So go ahead, blast me... I can take it!

Well your toes need to be in and I know you are in a dressage saddle but I think you need to come up off his withers/neck more.

Your toes stick out too much. You need to bring your leg forward more. And also get out of your saddle more. Idk anything about dressage so it might just be the saddle that stopping you from getting up. If you want to jump bigger you'd have to work on that cuz you could easily get left behind. But if you're just doing it for fun you look good! you're giving your horse a good release and not pulling on his mouth. I would also shorten your sturrips more for jumping but once again could be that dressage saddle! you might also be a little stiff over the jump but if you dont jump alot that could be why. it's hard to tell with just one pic but if you're not a serious jumper it doesn't matter! just have fun with what you're doing!

leg on the girth. you are folding from the hips nicely, i would like to see more release- slide your hands up her neck marginally. as for your horse, it looks as if she could do with a little more impulsion into the fence, she looks a little 'sloppy' in front. really ride the stride into the fence maintaining contact on approach. but good job, i couldnt jump in a dressage saddle!!!

I like your heel and upper body. As was said, your lower leg needs work getting under you instead of slipping too far back, but that will come with more experience too. The biggest thing I noticed was your hands. They are kind of floating up right above your horses neck. If you dropped them down a couple inches and forward a few inches, you'd have a much more correct release.

geez lorin.....so harsh! OP: for a dressage saddle, you're doing well the saddle is working against you, messing up your position (both leg and seat). you leg needs to be your balence point, and you need to come up out of the saddle. probably fine in a normal jumping saddle!
