Is this too...er....TACKY!?

As many of you know, I do websites and other marketing 'stuff' for small businesses. To help design others sites, I often play with my own personal site, trying out new looks and styles. I recently re-did the entire look of my site....but I'm not sure I'm sold on it.

What do you think...is it tacky or cool?

I like it! I like the "sheer" look. I do think you could do without the butterflies though. Good job!

I like it too - but I'm with shannon on the butterflies thing... lose 'em.

Actually, I'm really not a big fan of any sort of animation on websites - I think it's distracting, and not always well executed.

Other than that, and a few little layout issues, I like the feeling of it - just needs a little tweaking.

Kim, I for one like the butterflies and the plant, and overall, I'm impressed with your site's layout. However, I see two opposing themes displayed. I'm not seeing the connection between the lively butterfly, the healthy greenery and the dry, cracked earth for the backdrop - which in my opinion, represents a severe drought occurence. Wouldn't the butterfly and plant naturally be thirsty and suffering in such conditions? I am thinking the butterfly is fluttering around for a drink, lol! Other than that, again I think you did a great work and I love the title "All things Kimberly"!

Your picture looks like a high school year book picture. If that is the look you want, than it is good.
