CUTE! Ginger Pop always gets really fluffy in the winter. He gets like a teddy bear.

Yeh, He only has a rain sheet on, he's like a teddy bear, gets a real thick fluffy coat. I love it, does Ginger Pop get a beard? In the frost, Pic gets icicles(spelling?) hanging of em

Yeah, Ginger Pop does get a beard. He could probably win a prize for being a shaggy pony and he loves the mud. Last year it took me three hours to groom him because he had rolled in the muddiest part of the field (they HAVE to, don't they!).

All those photos were took on the same morning, the one in the field is him having his 20 mins, before going back on his bald paddock, I took his rug off so he could have a good roll, he loves it, but I only take it off when it's dry, because I know what you mean, when it's been raining and the field is wet, he finds the muddiest place he can(luckily this field is quite well drained), and then I have to wait for the mud to dry, before brushing it off to put the rug back on.
They do a class at one of the local shows called Wooleys, at the begining of the season, he's the winner.

Saw some pics of Hollybush Picollo on your slide show when he was younger he looked just like my brothers mare, she is a welsh sec A 5yr old, I was wondering if you had heard of Revel or minuet, I think they are good blood lines but she is my first welsh so I don't really know,
I am going to start her with leadrein and in hand this year she should do well nothing phases her, is that a pic of Picollo ? I hope amy turns grey she is dapple at the moment but getting lighter by the minute.
Where abouts are you candygirl ? we are in yorkshire.

Nadia,

Now yur're talking my language. Do I know the Revel ponies. They are very well known, and alot of the foundation stock of todays A's come from Revel. Revel Paul Jones is one of my particular favourites. Bengad is also are very popular stud. Picollo is out of a Bengad Mare, Bengad Nepeta. I will find his extended pedigree out and tell you which Revel is in his line.

Picollo has a very close top winning pony, which has won under saddle, at Royal Welsh, Medal Shows, and end of season WPCS points - Hollybush Marigold

One of my favourtie Sec A stallions is Bengad Dogberry.

When I bought Picollo, he was a very dark grey, as he as got older he is getting lighter as with all greys, on the photos, on this post, he has his winter coat which is always lighter, but the photo's came out too bright anyway.

I love lead rein, and In-hand. If you want any tips, please I would be more than glad to help, I would be privledged(?). I have shown Picollo all over the country, qualifying for Ponies UK and Peterborough, Welsh Pony and Cob Society Medal shows, I steward for WPCS panel judge.

I could go on and on, you'll have to stop me, now you've started about the A's.

I live in the West Midlands, but if you are serious about doing the shows, let me know and I will find out what is in your area for you. Please Please ask away. Will go find Pics pedigree.

Jane
