I don't mind so much the local pronounciations of stuff because it's still the right word. That's more of an accent deal - Bah Habah anyone? LOL It's the obvious use of the wrong word, either the wrong conjugation, or the wrong word altogether (loose/lose - and why doesn't the issue seem to be present with choose/chose? LOL) that makes me want to thump some heads.

Learn your grammar most importantly, learn the difference between these words.

Comprises/is comprised of is another one often used incorrectly. That another active vs passive deal

There was a ninny that used to work in the kitchen of a restaurant I worked at, who poked her head out the kitchen door during happy hour to tell us she was going to 69 the soup. All the old fogey regulars sorta stopped what they were doing to stare at her. I said, "I think you mean 86" and the whole bar erupted in laughter. She did not poke her head back out of the kitchen for the rest of her shift.

Missed this earlier. That's one of the little things that I SHOULD know, and DO know on some level... but always wind up second-guessing myself over and double and triple-checking my usage.

Heheh, I have some annoying little "quirks" myself; I say "maroooon" for moron and "eggzachary" for exactly. I hear that annoys someone, so I try to do it was much as possible.

feed/fed is another one. How in the world do you even mix that up? They teach past/present tense in KINDERGARTEN, people!

How about sale vs. sell? "I need to sale this horse," shoot me in the face, please. It bothers me so much that I've become convinced that I'M the crazy one and that sale is a verb everywhere but in my house.
