Is it "Lunging" or "Longeing"

At the risk of derailing my own thread......I hate it when people say "Pacifically" for "Specifically". My friend says "Roam" for "Roan" and will till the day she dies even though I correct her everytime and lets not forget "Rockwieler".

I think I may have just opened up a can of worms.

Oh...and today in a tack discussion someone said the cantle was to close to his withers and was going to rub. Well then, you either have that saddle on backwards or it's cinched around the poor animals neck...which is it.

"would of" (or could or should) is not correct

i admit personal difficulty with affect/effect..i struggle with -ences and -ances, too (sorry!) but am with JB on the then/than, their/there/they're ones.

so is it 'longe'? or not? : )

Affect is active, effect is passive

Believe it or not, I caught the pharmacist putting "Apply to heals nightly" instead of "heels"

. I changed that in a hurry!

Also, I've seen proceedure typed here. Changed that one too

I use lunge. Longe always felt sort of stuffy to me.

In my area, it's "raring" for "rearing". Rednecks...

And "wrassling" for "wrestling".
