Looks like minimal sabino to me. some of the white patches actually look like patches of solid white, not just roaning. I believe roan should have a fairly even mix of white all over with the face being darker. There should only be white hair not white patches. The socks on a sabino horse are often irregular also.

yes he is not that roaned out everywhere just really on his flanks like that..and the white inbetween his back legs is white not roaned...his sock is irregular with spots inside of the white

not a very good pic of the sock but you can see how it is pointy at the top

Yea especially the spot between his legs. I'm not an expert, but I did some research because I have a sabino, but he has a lot more white. I think it is sometimes different from the roan patches, because my mare has roan patches on her flanks, which get roanier every year but she is fram overo, with 4 black legs so shouldn't have sabino

Now that we see the full horse, actually, Im' having a hard time seeing sabino.

Though he could be very very very minimal....

I would say yes he has the sabino gene...given his pointed sock, face white, (I believe he also has white on his chin if I remember correctly), and the roaning/spots.

Yes, he's a Sabino, though the white "roaning" patches might or might not have anything to do with it - likely does in his case, but these patches can appear in non-Sabino horses.
