He looks like a buckskin. Though I see what you mean...his coat looks like it flows in different directions or something...kinda weird. The white in the mane might just be frosting.

Yeah the lady I bough him from said he was a buckskin. According to her he used to have an eel stripe but it faded. And yeah I can't explain why he has a little white on his mane. Would you call him like a copper buckskin? For my mom had a lighter buckskin and it was called a golden buckskin. So what is he called?

^^^Holy cow, that horse is more brindle than my pitbull!^^^ Gorgeous!

As for Buddy, he is a beautiful color. Yes, buckskin with frosted mane I would say. The points on his ears are very defined. Does his coat feel smooth all the way down? It almost looks like his hairs are growing in at different angles, like cowlicks or something. I haven't ever seen anything like that!

Oh yes his coat is very smooth. It just looks like he hair grows darker in areas. For Best of Princess: I wouldn't call him a buttermilk for he is little dark. But my moms old horse that she thought was a golden buckskin could have been a buttermilk instead. Do you think he might be a golden buckskin?

My mustangs hair does that also. But it is just the way the hair is laying. Like he got wet and it dried in all different directions.

Yeah I don't think I'd call him buttermilk buckskin. Not sure exactly what shade he'd be classified as though.
Anyways here's a buttermilk buckskin, she has a frosted mane and tail as well.
