Thumbs down Irritated with Dover Saddlery

I have been saddle shopping for the past few months and since my parents live close to the Dover store in Delaware i waited until I came home for a few days to go to the store and purchase.
I visited the store on tuesday and sat in a few saddles but they didnt have all of the saddles i wanted and the professional saddle fitter wasn't in store. So the woman that was working there took down my information and told me that the saddle fitter would give me a call today... three hours ago... so that we could set up a visit and order in the saddles i was interested in.

Now, i could see them not calling me back about a pair of boots, or a saddle pad but i am getting ready to purchase a $3000 saddle and they dont call me back?

Well, im going to give the lady until tomorrow and if she still doesnt call me back you can bet that im going to drive up to Ricks Heritage and buy a saddle there.

This is like the 5th time i have tried to buy something from dover and they never got back to me about it so seriously i am done dealing with them because the obviously dont care about their customers.

Which Ricks are you heading to? I live very close to one of them and only about an hour from another.

The one in west chester. Even though it is farther than the Dover store i would rather travel farther for better service than deal with people who dont care.

Customer Service is non-existant anymore. I don't know how people say that our economy is taking a down-turn. It seems to me that business must have more business than they can handle since I can never seem to get anyone to help me out for anything anymore.

That is what i first said when i had a bad experience with dover but tuesday when i was in the store I was the only one in there and still could not get any help at all.
Oh well, obviously they dont want me to purchase from them.

If I were you I would ask to talk to the owner or store manager. I'll bet you will be treated like a queen after talking to them.
so many times employees do not care very much I suppose because it is not their butt on the line.
When you are an owner you are invested into the business and want to make your customers happy because it hits you in the pocket book!

The woman that i was working with that day who told me the saddle fitter would call me was the manager!
So i feel like since she didnt call or the other lady they just dont want my business.

Yeah dover is obviously only after people who want to spend lots of money in their store. Now i consider $3000 lots of money but maybe they dont.
The boarding school i work at orders a lot of their blankets from dover but i am definitely telling them what happened and they will not be buying from them again, and dover knows that.
