Post IRH XR9s?

I absolutely love IRH, they fit me perfectly and my budget (CO's hurt my head and GPA's are too ridiculously priced). My barn's tack shop (Summer Wind Tack, great place to buy btw ) sells IRH XR9s but I never can get the free time to check them out and try one on ...
The shop only has them in Black / Black, Black / Charcoal, and Black / Silver, but I'm in LOVE with the Black / Lavendar at SmartPak Equine, and purple is my eventing color too so it fits the color scheme quite well.
Does anybody have this helmet? What do you think of it?
I know that IRHs have a specific helmet shape that is uncomfortable to most people, so there is going to be a few people not a fan.

Thanks!

The IRH XR9 is patterned after the CO GR8 and looks to be a nice helmet. But you really should try it on before you buy one. Don't assume that it will fit the same as any other IRH model. CO is quite oval; GPA is quite round; IRH varies, depending on the helmet model.

I agree totally with Jim, GPA is round and CO is oval...but really, IRH varies so much. I have an IRH that I love, but it's an older model. But if you really want this helmet, you could go try it on in the color that your tack shop has and then buy it online in the purple and it *should* fit just the same.

I have one. It doesn't fit my head shape as well as the CO GR8, but it looks pretty much exactly the same. It's comfortable and looks nice. I like it!

I loved my XR9. I grew out of it and now have a CO, and there really isn't any difference. I find the head shape to be very similar though, so you might want to make sure you try on an XR9.
