OK... to take my mind off of my dog for a bit... I thought I'd introduce you guys to some of the permanent residents, hopefully non-permanent resident, and regulars (the kind of regulars that if you work there... you know... if not from meeting them the first day, then someday in the first week) at the Vet Clinic where I work.
Oh... and all of the eyes look really wonky because of the flash.

First off is Sammy. Sammy gets his own ROOM at night. He gets to have the entire "break room"... instead of a cage like all of the other cats... but then he gets the roam of the place afterwards.

Here he is right after I brought him up for the night (he didn't want to actually look at me... he kept looking away RIGHT as I would take the picture):





And here's Tuna. Tuna's kind of the bane of the place... well... she is now. There used to be another cat here (named Amy Winehouse) that was the absolutely hated cat... now... that thing was EVIL. Tuna's just annoying. Tuna also has cat Herpes, and so she was never really able to find a home because of that. (don't ask me why... she's still a sweet kitty... though a complete bu.tthead when it comes to nail trimming time.






Next on my list is Cornelius (forgot the middle name) Bread. Cornbread, or Corn for short. And yeah... those are confederate flags in the windows of his little "house". A couple of us were bored one day, and decided to make him a little home... and we kind of went overboard... we're kinda crazy here. And yeah... Corn definately a confederate.





And now... here's Benny. Benny is the antisocial sweetheart. He's the cat that is usually at the front of the clinic, there for all of the kids to pet and love on. But... of course... he hates people. lol. Haha... and he also loves to eat. If his food doesn't come on time, he'll stay on one of the counters near the door to the dog room, and as people go in and out, he'll just keep batting at them until they give him something... but then again... he'll do that whenever he wants ANY food...





And now... the cat that virtually nobody knows about... but everyone knows. He hides during the day... and plays around with Benny at night. He's... gay. Haha... at least... that's the joke. He and Benny are always in the same cage at night. And you can see in the picture... he's hiding behind Benny.



And now... here's BUGSY!!! Bugsy is an absolute sweetheart... and a fatty that likes to sleep most of all. Not too much to say about Bugsy except that he's soft, fluffy, and LOVES to cuddle.





And now to introduce y'all to the resident of ours that we are TRYING to find a home for (so... if anyone here lives in the Houston area and wants this girl... PM ME!!!). Her name is Smiley or Smiles. You'll see the in the next picture why. She's not snarling or being mean... just smiling. She came in as a stray... with heartworms. Her heartworms are almost all cleared up now, but she's started having a light lung infection due to the heartworms dissolving in the body. But she's a fighter, and a sweetheart.





And... this picture is kind of weird... but whatever.







And now for some of the regulars here.

First is Sasha. She's a three-legged dog that one of the Vet Assistants here found a couple years back... she was a stray, with a huge leg infection. She has since rehabilitated completely, and put in a new home with a loving owner. She comes in regularly not for medication per-say... but her owners work during the day, and she is TERRIFIED of Thunderstorms... so she comes here to get her sedatives and to be in a place where there isn't a huge chance of her hurting herself. But she's an absolutely sweetie.



And now for the crazy boy... Tipper. Tipper is owned by one of the retired vets who used to work here (he actually retired a week before I was hired). The man is in his late sixties, quiet and sweet... and Tipper is a high-strung Labrador who is just completely cookoo... yeah... a Marley and Me type of dog. So yeah... we all kind of smile and roll ours eyes whenever Tipper comes in to board.



And yeah... there are other regulars that everyone knows... but here's just a few of the basics... so yeah. Hope you guys enjoyed that!!!

And like I said... if anyone in the Houston area (ONLY please) is interested in a free chihuahua, that comes with heartworm preventative, a bit of food, and possibly a few other things... PM ME for a bit more info!!!
