Intro Anna, Clydesdale mare, warning :pic heavy

UPDATED-UPDATED-10/14-- SEE POST #49

Hi. This is our latest adoption, Anna Bella, a 8 year old Clydesdale mare. She was rescued by the joint efforts of Voice for Horses and Frog Pond Farm Draft horse rescue. She has been with us 2 weeks today.
We adopted her after 30 days of rehab with Voice for Horses. She will continue her rehab here with us and has a long fat and sassy life ahead of her to look forward to.
She is coming along very well and has seen the dentist already.Farrier is next week. Veting was done by the rescue so we are good to go.
We have rescued a fair amount on our own but the adoptions of our three Draft horses have been a wonderful experience in every way.
Our two adopted Shire mares came from Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue.
I will post pics as the months pass and we can watch her progress together.

Who does this to the poor dears? I know folks get over their heads finance wise, but to let such a gentle loving beast who wants only to serve mankind starve like this

They should be dragged out and shot.

Bless you for rescuing these big ones!

Oldhorsefarm, Trace, winkybear..thanks for your comments...yeah it is hard to understand how these things happen, how it can get this far before the owners realize they need to let the horse go. She is at least 500 lbs underweight at this point. And that is after 30 days of good food and rehab at the rescue. She really is a sweetheart. Her bad experience hasn't changed her great personality.
Winky these are our two adopted Shires. The draft horse rescues we have worked with are fabulous. I could not recommend them more highly. Here are my "girls"

We can't wait either...sigh....the vets says take it slow and give her about 6 months to fill out. She is put together beautifully and moves like a dream so we are planning on saddle training her when she is well.
She stands at nearly 17.3. She probably looks really big cause I am so darned short!!
