Red face Instructions on using a thinning blade

Ok, i have finally decided to thin my horses mane , not pull it cause i do'nt think she would stand still long enough. sooo, i need instructions on how to use a thinning blade (it may sound stupid but i've never done it before ) so can anyone help me??????
