Question I'm kinda stuck...

Ok I've been riding hunt seat all my riding life ( 6 years) and I'm pretty good at it (I'm going to a very very very very BIG show). I just got a new horse, she's an TB X-race horse and obviously very green. I got her about a month and I've been training her dressage to get her balanced and relaxed and stuff like that. While I've been riding dressage I've gotten a lmore relaxed when I on a horse also and I've gotten to like it and have been told many times that I'm a natural at it or that I look really good riding dressage and the same for my horse. I'm now at the stage of training my horse where I need to decide what I'm going to teach her. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!???????

Dressage vs. Hunt Seat for me

If you truely can't decide which one you want to do - Flip a coin!

Hunt seat - heads
Dressage - tails

...which ever side the coin lands on - that will be her discipline!

I would say Dressage. You can always apply Dressage to ANY disipline for a more balanced horse. You can take Dressage lessons and show her hunt seat. I don't see why not.

I say Dressage. It's just so all-around, and it can be the base for any riding discipline.

i vote dressage.... the only kind of hunt seat i personally truly love is American Saddlebred HUntseat, because it allows action and its so fun... dressage can be used for so many other diciplines like jumping, driving, trails.... you name it: dressage helps it. Hunt seat is a little more limiting for a horse as far as broadness goes.
