I'm going to get an MRI?

So finally after over a month of constant, horrible headaches my mom took me to the doctor (I stayed home from school today because I just couldn't function with the headache) and anfter doing an examination of me, she declared I needed an MRI ASAP. They originally estimated I could get in next week, but after a little talking my doctor got me squeezed in today. I'm leaving in a few to go get it...wish me luck!

Let's hope I don't have a brain tumor or anything like that.

I'm back

it took a long time, lol. Partially because I was wiggly and they kept having to redo parts

and man, that was loud!

Half way through they pulled me out to poke me with a needle full of contrasting something. It hurt, lol.

As we speak (er..type?) my mom is downstairs looking at scans of my brain...UGH i wish they didn't give us a copy lol

we have to wait "3 to 4 business days" before the results are faxed to the doctors office...luckily my mom's working saturday AND sunday, so she'll be there when it comes in

so no, i don't have the results. unfortunately.

I'm sure it will all be ok, but how unsettling... my thoughts and prayers are with you, please be sure to let us know when you hear anything!

btw: do you remember when the headaches started? did anything change/happen around then? a fall, maybe twisted your back or neck wrong, anything?

My headaches got really bad right around the time when I fell off Scooter. Stupid fall, I landed on the back of my head/neck but I was rolling when it happened. My neck was slightly sore after that, but I didn't think much of it.

I think that when my doctor heard me mention the fall was when she called the hospital and told them I needed an MRI, and that it was urgent. She also did a bunch of tests like having me push against her, walk in a straight line, and stand with my eyes closed.

I will be interested to see if they see anything on the MRI or if it is something pinched in your neck or back that you might need to see a chiropractor for.
Either way I hope it is a simple fix and that you feel better very soon!
