Um not to start an argument but how was the roundup illegal? The judge denied the request to stop it and the BLM is within their rights to roundup those horses.

Maybe it's just me but I feel if all these people protesting want to help they can adopt some of the mustangs and keep them out of harms way.

I don't want to get in the middle here. Just posting the other side of the story. I have made my decision. Just want people to get all the information.

No I don't think that is the only way to help out the mustangs but that is the system we currently have to work with. Claiming the roundup is illegal and the BLM is evil for doing their job is not helping anything. Making false claims only weakens the argument.

Does the system need changes? Yes!

But viable solutions need to be thought of. Not just "leave them alone", that only leads to harm for both the mustangs and the land. With the mustang population doubling every 4 years leaving them alone with quickly lead to land being overgrazed and unable to support the population. Personally I think contraception is one of the best current options. It allows the BLM to control herd size without creating more horses.

Please explain.

1) Your link is broken.

2)The BLM gather is in no way illegal. It is their JOB to maintain a healthy ecological balance with ALL creatures that use the land. They are responsible for keeping a healthy HML, and removing excess animals.

Please, explain to me why you feel it is illegal to manage these horses?

I have to say your system is better than ours. At least some of the horses get a chance of being homed.

Here, they just go up in a chopper, find the herd and shoot it from the air.

That happened here in the old days before BLM.

That's not a option for some people. People have freedom of speech.

Yep, they do, but freedom of speech does not protect you from someone arguing with you or giving their opinions/facts against anything you say. Freedom of speech protects you from real persecution(though considering freedom of speech is very much an American thing and the internet is not America, it may be debatable whether or not you have free speech here. But dont worry I am sure the mods wont stickyou in the stocks for anything you say) , it doesnt mean people cant say what they want against you if you say what you want against them. Freedom of speech is a two way street.
