Freedom of speech protects you from real persecution(though considering freedom of speech is very much an American thing and the internet is not America, it may be debatable whether or not you have free speech here. As against the roundup of these horses as I am, I have to say what you said above, I completely agree with.

I'm one of the biggest anti slaughter folks here on HGS, and believe me....I have been involved in some highly emotional, with tempers flaring, ect slaughter threads. I'm one of those who will defend horses with everything I have in me....facts and emotion, and even occassionally some really outragious comments. The mods on this forum are very good about allowing controversial subjects to be "hashed out" as long as they don't get too out of control. I've "said it all" and have had it "all said to me" on here......


In all honesty, I don't think it's the mods you need to worry about on here.....all of them are pretty fair minded. It's the folks you are arguing with that you need to be careful with. I found out the hard way, you can't just beller out some rude and sarcastic comment that has nothing to do with the subject being discussed, without it getting reported. There's nothing wrong with people "trying" to keep a conversation on an even keel and the tone of it at least polite. And, trust me, sometimes that's VERY difficult to accomplish. LOL Speak you opinion and why, and leave it at that. Leave the name calling of individuals you are discussing it with OUT!

Freedom of speech from the protesters. The ones holding the signs that are against the round up. I wasn't talking about me speaking on HGS. Sorry I didn't explain myself better. And I'm open to what anyone has to say and vice versa. There's always two sides to the street.
