*Sigh*...man, I'm sorry. If she's not wonderful I'd dump that trainer on her backside. Not literally of course, though I'd want my horse to...

Don't pay that lady to yell at you. You have to remember that you're a client. SHE is working for YOU. She doesn't TRULY have any power over what you can and cannot do and isn't above you as a person. Nobody has the right to hurt your feelings like that for such a small thing. She must have had a cactus up where the sun doesn't shine. Does she normally yell at you like that? Arg. That, in my mind, is unnacceptable. She's not the boss of you...I mean, you PAY her to be the boss of you in a sense, but you know what? When it comes down to it, you do not HAVE to listen to that nastiness. And you don't have to pay for it either. What would you do if your school teachers yelled at you like that? They'd get in BIG trouble I think! And you aren't even paying them directly.

Furthermore, surely if she was teaching you well, she wouldn't feel the need to scream at you.

Man I'm so sorry. That makes me sad to hear. Mean people suck. I'd look into this other really nice lady who helped you out! She sounds super If she's a good trainer I'd sort of migrate towards her if I were you. Good luck, and feel better!

She is a great trainer I would hate to leave her. This is by far the worst she's ever gotten. I've gotten frustrated with her, and we've had some misunderstandings. But never just outright, getting yelled at! The lady who helped us out is actually her aunt. When my mom called her she offered that at any time she would happily take me =) It's an option that I know will be there for a long time, but I wouldn't learn as much =[

Do you know that you wouldn't? I mean, if they're related...maybe your trainer learned from HER You never know. Maybe give her a try? You can always take lessons from both...say alternate. If you don't like her as much then you certainly don't have to use her. Good luck!

Yep my trainer did =) Her and Frank Madden... lol. I have taken a few lessons with this "other" trainer, and I'm not a huge fan of her teaching style. Then she didn't really know me, although she was a HUGE help at the show. If this gets any worse I might take your suggestion.

I mean, my current trainer is pretty tough in lessons. But I like that. I'm usually pretty tough. It's the yelling that gets to me...

My text is all.... over here O.o

I wanna train with frank madden when I'm older!!

As for your trainer, You are not paying her to yell at you.The same exact thing happened at a show with me awhile back. My trainers daughter was yelling at me.
I left the barn, and switched.
I was much happier with my other trainer.
Does she do this often?
