What absolutely horrible people to steal from injured and dead people. Wonder if they were held accountable?

wow these would be very awkward situations to be in. If your the sister of the owner trying to get a horse back that was sold by a barn owner after she died could be difficult. Sounds like the sister gave the okay to sell the horse before she checked the financials. As for the injured woman she has no proof that the lady said "Don't pay board". But since the horse was not hers to begin with and the lady did not go through proper channels they might be able to make a civil case against her.

Since the BO lied to the sister about the payments, I would hope that would make anything the sister said or agreed to null (if that's the correct term). And, why would the other BO refuse to take a payment someone offered? They must have had in mind to sell already when that happened. You have to be so very careful and just can't trust anyone now days.

What horrible people! I hope those horses are found. A good reason to have a living will, or a will at all. That way, if somebody does something with your property while you are incapacitated or have died, the law can step in! |
