| Senior Member+ | I worked my butt off for my new horse and FINALLY got her to listen to me after riding every day (1-3 times a day) for about 2 and a half weeks and I got through to her FINALLY.. but we had a lot of rain so the past 2 days I couldn't ride her.. TOday I rode her and it was like I have to start ALL over again.. She threw her head and bucked a few times (not as much as she did before but still) whenever I asked for a canter.. once I was asking for a canter and she bucked then reared right after.. surprisingly I stayed on somehow even though I lost the reins and my stirrups. I'm hoping this was just because she had 2 days off and will be good tomorrow.. I will seriously break down if she's evil tomorrow.. I need my riding lessons!! |

| Senior Member+ | I'm hoping it was only because she missed a few days.. there was also another horse being ridden in the back of our field (there normally isn't) so she was really interested in him.. even though she doesn't like boys.. she beats them up, she knows what's good for her wink |

![]() | LOL! I hear ya! My trainer and I tried everything with my mare and after Brandy injured her, my trainer got off and cantered her in the round pen for 9 mins each direction. I rode her two days later, she didn't even think buck. We've tried everything else so now it's gonna be if she bucks, we get off and she gets lunged both directions for several mins then try again. It can be so discouraging because she can be really good sometimes! |

| Senior Member+ | Lol.. my situation exactly!! I love her to pieces though and we're getting lessons in the spring (ROCK ON!) soo then we'll both improve and I won't do anything wrong so she won't even have an EXCUSE to buck.. goody.. she needs to further to training a tad.. so we'll work on that too.. (I'm gonna help train her in reining.. woohoo!) |

![]() | I definatly know what your going through. I trianed my horse by my self, and everyday that i didnt ride it was liek she took two steps back each time we got better! it was only a phase for her though. maybe in time your horse will get over it and except it has to work. otherwise i cant help you out, sounds like a problem. | Senior Member+ | It's raining again today.. which means riding is outta the question, our field is like a mud pit.. it would be fun to ride in but dangerous so I'll just look at her.. haha.. they run in when I call them (SO CUTE!! They just started doing that a few days ago) I need an indoor riding ring.. hehe |
