I STILL havn't heard back from that "dressage" saddle lady!!

I don't know whether to be mad, think it's funny or just think this lady is just plain pathetic. I've chosen not to call her anymore since apparently she's not comfortable talking to me over the phone since I'm such a horrid, cheating, waste-her-time kind of person. So I've been e mailing her asking her to PLEASE give me directions, I told her I'd even get it right to her house. (And I will) She STILL has not e mailed me back since she wrote me that absalutely obnoxiouse e mail!

I have NO idea what the heck she thinks she's accomplishing by not getting her saddle back and not ALLOWING me to get it back to her. I mean, heck, she hasn't even cashed the check! So she's not gaining a thing, she's just loosing other potential sales. (Maybe, lol, if people actually WANT to pay $350 for that thing)

If she doesn't e mail me back soon I'm selling that saddle myself. I don't want it in my basement anymore.

No, I did not buy the saddle from her. Basically what happened was I found a Wintec dressage saddle for sale on equine.com for $350 and the lady lived about an hour away so we set up a deal to meet in the middle and I'd try the saddle in TRIAL. According to her, where we were meeting her worked out just GREAT because she was there, at that time, on that day every week anyways. So that's what we did.

I get it and it's this ancient Wintec and you can hardly tell what kind of saddle it is. It's either an all-purpose or REALLY bad dressage saddle. (my instructor says it COULD be a dressage saddle but so un-dressage like that it looks like an all-purpose, so I dunno... I just call it all-purpose) Either way, I called the lady and left a message that said that I thought it looked more like a close contact, all purpose or SOMETHING but at any rate, I didn't want the saddle so I'd like to get it back to her. (Very nice message actually, you know I went through the "I hope you can sell it" shpiel, nothing rude at all)

So I don't hear from her and i don't hear from her. I'm calling her home and cell every day and e mailing her. Finally. 2 and a half weeks later she sends me this scathing e mail about what a jerk I am for saying it didn't look like a dressage saddle, and that I caused her to waste time and money meeting us in the middle (And before it was oh so convenient) and that she's POd because she lost other buyers because I had the saddle.

Lol, well, um excuse me but I can't get the saddle back to somebody unless they get a hold of me and arrange something.

That e mail was the last I've heard from her. SO, what the heck she thinks she's accomplishing I have NO idea. It's like, I've STILL got her saddle and she's NOT going to sell it to anyone else until she gets it back!

Make sure that are documenting everything going on with this saddle, that you have tried on numerous occassions to call and emal her, make sure that print out the emails too, and save that nasty one that she sent you. Especially if you plan to sell the saddle yourself, you want to have everything documented in case this goes to court or something.

I would send her one more email, or call and leave a message, or even better would be to send a certified letter saying that you are going to give her until the end of the week (give a specific date and time) and that if you haven't heard from her by then that you were going to stop payment on the check and bill her for the costs of doing so.
If she hasn't yet cashed the check and no other money exchanged hands, I would be very careful about selling just yet, you could get in some trouble. But, if you make a statement saying that you want it out by a certain time, then you only have to wait a certain amount of time before you can claim possession of the item. In South Dakota it's 30 days until you can take possession of the item, but it's 30 days from when you have an official something saying that you tried to contact them, which is why a certified letter would be the best route.

Plus, the saddle probably isn't worth much more than $40.

Thanks Shotgun, I'll probably do something of that sort. I'm REALLY getting sick of this. I havn't like recorded my messages or anything but I'm sure her cell phone company etc. has my messages and records of my calls. I am saving both my and her e mails as well.
