well right now im barrel racing, im learning to rope cuz my mare only does roping and barrels, so i want to find a stallion that does pretty much everything western wise though like timed events mostly and showmanship, the breed dont matter, i just mostly want a buckskin qh or an appy, or an buckskin paint ive alway wanted those or a paint or qh wiht a big blaze or bald face with 4 white sox i love horses like that.

OK, you are new, so I'm gonna ask the age old question on this forum.

WHY do you want to breed YOUR mare? Is she high quality? Does she have conformation to pass onto the future generation of horses? What do you want out of the foal? Are you planning on keeping the foal AND mare? Will the foal be marketable IF something bad happens and the foal has to be sold??

Why do you want to breed for colour? A good horse is never a bad colour and vice versa. You should be breeding for conformation, temperament and performance. That you want to find a stallion of a certain colour concerns me. You should want to find the BEST stallion that is of the highest quality and compliments you mare the best, not the one that has the prettiest colour.

i agree with Lou3 and blistering winds. i also have a question, do you really want to breed her at this time of the year? if you bred her now it would be end of july next year when she would foal which would be VERY hot time of the year. that can be really hard on a mare. i know people breed at different times of the year, but you need to think about that also. just my opinion!
