Well, I've been crying for the last hour.

As some of you may know, I was finally getting a horse. I have pictures of him, I went and saw him, I set up boarding, everything!

So my mom picked me up from school (so we could go see/pay for him). My mom picked me up, and told me that she called the lady to tell her we were about to leave.

Apparently the lady said he was no longer for sale.

Long story short, her trainer said that I would be shortchanging the horse if I got him right now. She hasn't even seen me ride!

I'm just crying right now.....I can't take this anymore.

I'm a kid, for God's sake. You don't get their hopes up and then yank them out from under them!

There just aren't enough smilie/emoticons to express my feelings right now.

I'm so sorry, but this must mean... there's one better! If this lady was that fickle who knows what baggage she's given that horse that you would have had to fix.


Take advantage of your mom (maybe) feeling sorry for you to get her to let you guys check out some pricier horses.


I know it feels like a loss, but I really, really, 110% believe when you find the horse you're meant to buy you are going to be SO glad this worked out how it did.

I'm so sorry about the horse. But, there are lots of horses out there. He just wasn't the one you were meant to have. Keep looking and don't give up. Good luck.

There are very interesting people in this world and you just met one.

There is another BETTER horse out there for you...keep looking and stay away from geese.

I had that happen to me twice as a kid. The first time I was going to lease an AWESOME pony from someone who my mom was friends with at the Tennis Club, only someone else in PC who didn't like me and didn't want me to have that pony said not to lease to me. Then a year later I was going to lease an awesome horse, but someone in PC who didn't like me said no, don't lease to me because I have heavy hands. (Erm what? Quite the opposite! ) So I got a horse from out of town and then passed my PC C+ test when more than half the people taking it, whose mothers had sabotaged my pony ambitions, failed. I may not have won as many ribbons with my horse, but I sure got a lot more satisfaction out of her.
