I need help (!)

Sorry for the caplocks title, but I really need help w/ Buck. He's cut his leg pretty good and NO ONE will come out and help me with it, because were not current clients. I know I should have a vet, but he's already had all his shots for this year and I only planned on getting one in a month or so when he was due to be gelded. So, now I'm paying the price in idiocy when he decides to get hurt.

Anyway, I take a washcloth and hot water and I dip it in the water and then onto his cut and hold it there, gently, for about thirty seconds and repeat that until it looks clean again. I've been using medicated swat, but it's doing nothing but making it green and infectious - mind you, this is a clean jar - so today I decided to soak it, wash it with mild, mild soap and put that triple ointment on it. I can't wrap it, because it falls and slips down his leg. He still canters and runs around just fine, but I want it to heal up super, super quickly! I haven't done anything w/ him as far as working because I don't want to cause any discomfort for my baby. What am I going to do? I'll try again and see if a vet can come out and visit and check it out tomorrow, but my parents won't be too excited about that.

WHY ARE YEARLING SO CURIOUS

His legs look crooked, but he was actually cocking his hip and resting his hoof at an angle.

You know....if you were to put this in the health section....there are tons of people who can help and even a vet who is there....it may bring better responses than in Horse chat....though...lots of those people visit here too.
