I. LOVE. MY. HORSE! (hunter champion...again!)

I
LOVE
CORKY!

he really is a saint, and i love him to death. we did this show that's 4th in a series of 5 shows, and his owner showed him for the first 2 when i was in the hospital. she got him 3rd in childrens special hunters and 4th in special schooling hunters. we didn't place in special schooling hunters because i was totally out of it for some reason and so that plus him being lazy (for once!) equaled choppy and ugly lines. whoops....my bad

then we won the first childrens special hunter over fences, which was cool. i got a tote bag we didn't place under saddle though...we picked up the wrong lead then we got 3rd in the second trip for childrens specials, which was also a stake class. we won $12 hahaha! and we ended up getting champion!!! i was so proud of my baby!!!!!!!

then i won my equitation flat class, which was awesome! i got a travel mug...very handy! then ummm the over fences kinda stunk...we cross-cantered all the way to the long approach, which was embarassing beyond belief. and we chipped pretty much everything else. but we got 6th, so it's all good.

overall, a very successful day!!! he was really sore afterwards though, so we're gonna have his leg checked out again

And here's a few pictures from the A show we got champion at a few weeks ago that I have yet to share...

Good job! Your position in the jumping picture is fantastic! I think that you should braid him all the time, he looks really handsome in the pictures where he has braids.

Nice job, you and your horse look great. I didn't realise you had such a pretty grey.

thanks guys! he's not gotten darker persay, but he was a little sweaty, which may have made him darker. either that or the lighting. i don't know.

eventer77- i wish i could have him braided all the time!!! he looked so sharp! i mean, a little funny looking, but still so pretty! plus, it's so much easier to put his bridle on without all that forelock in the way!
