I just got back from riding Jack :] We had an amazing lesson!

I got him tacked up in a record time, and we were the first ones in the arena XD Which meant I could struggle to mount with my super sore legs ALONE. :]

He was a lazybutt when we were trotting, but jess pulled the others to the center of the ring so I could have my canter. WOW she was right to have! The second I asked for a canter, he burst out into a gallop. Took me a lap around the ring to get him to actually canter, lol. Then the other way I was expecting it, and what did I get? A perfect little canter. haha.

We had to jump a liverpool and I think he cleared it by like 3 feet the first time Apparently it was the first time he'd ever seen one. Well, at least we got over! Two other riders in my lesson fell off at it because the horses were scared of it.

After the lesson I got to take him out for a little grazing. I walked over to the ONLY place with good grass (the other spots are all branch/pinecone covered) and what do I hear? One of the whiney girls (there were two together with Joey) saying "Why is she following us?!" I just stared at them. I think one was jealous because I was riding jack. After all, when she saw him in the cross ties she just HAD to run up, give him a hug, and scare the **** out of him (and me!). grr.

Haha but he was a sweetie :] And we did a flying change - his first ever, according to Jess!
