One of the good things about the "ticket" horses is that they have traveled to alot of places and been around alot of people... That is a huge plus... I think th ehorse that was ticketed off here at the CA state fair had been traveling around for three or four months to local fairs beofre it was finally "won"...

She's a cutie!! Congrats!

I'm going to agree that she looks very immature for her age. I have an almost 2.5 year old Arab gelding, and the difference between him & your new filly is shocking. My boy is very filled out and really is starting to look "grown up," while your filly still has the baby look about her. Not to mention my boy is about 15.1 hh at this point

For reference, he's had the basics of groundwork at this point, though the lunging has been very limited (his joints aren't anywhere near ready for a lot of pressure on them). Plans are to send him to my trainer this winter for 60 or 90 days to get him started, and then he'll probably come back home for a while before going back as a late three year old to be finished to show as a four year old

Thanks, I am almost wondering if she isn't stunted to some extent. I am thinking of having the vet look at her next week when I bring Obie in for his chiro evaluation.
