Here is her pedigree:
Hhr Tiny Echo Arabian

For someone who asked what she looks like... she is light bay, with a star and short socks on both hinds. She has a fine muzzle, but not as dishy of a head as some Arabians have. Actually a pretty well developed jaw. I bought her a yearling halter and it is on the small side because of her jaw. I'm guessing she'll take a 4.5 or 4.75" bit though.

Mia, I agree. Knowing some of the people that show up at these horse expo things, I don't think I could let one of my "babies" go without qualifying the person first.

So I think I will teach her to drive, and then maybe see if I can get my instructor to ride her for a month or so next spring, because she is much more petite than me. Anyway, the BO said I could keep her on pasture with her older horses for cheap, so we'll see how things go. I haven't been around arabians in a long time, so it is so different. Anyone want to sell a pony-size driving harness and cart?

The nice thing is that they showed her at the Arabian show this weekend in in-hand trail, so she has been worked with and has good ground manners and is in good condition. I just can't get over how small she is compared to 16.2 hand Obie!

I didn't have the camera with me, but will go get lots of photos of her tomorrow.
Looking at her pedigree she looks to be a blend of Polish on her dams side and more of a Domestic on her sire's side. I giggled when you said she looks so small... My dressage instructor has a Warmblood mare who is 17.2H AND is just BIG not just TALL (Fride' makes her WB gelding who is about 16.1 H look TINY compared to her, lol)... anyway Fride' used to be stabled right next to Dancer, who is JUST 14.2 hands tall and while she does have a good body for her size is still very feminine looking and Fride is rather 'butch'... Talk about Mutt and Jeff when you have the two girls out, ROTFLMAO... and then go from riding one to the other, it's just funny, lol.

Congrats on the new surprise addition! Can't wait to see pics, and I'm sure you'll find something to do with her

Thanks for looking at her pedigree. I recognize some of the names on the bottom side, but don't know a thing about her sire's lines from back in my "arab days."

congratulations on the new yin!

I just have to say however is this not extremely irrisponsible of the raffle to offer a horse as a prize!!!! Like you say what if someone hasnt got the means or know how to look after it properly? what would become of the poor "prize".

Anyway this little one has landed on all four hooves with you and i hope she turns out to be a little angel sent from heaven!

I'm so grateful that she made it to you and not some 13 year old kid with parents who told her the horse could live in the dog coop in the back yard or something.

In our state they aren't allow to "Give away" horses...thank goodness!

I hope it all works out for you! Sounds great!

I am getting photos uploaded right now... I didn't get many good ones, because I didn't have much memory left on the camera, but might try to get some of her at liberty tomorrow.

On a string test, she is only going to be about 14 hands. She's about 13.2 right now. She is really sensitive, but seems to be sweet and has a good mind. I brushed her and walked her around the property for about an hour, and then turned her out in the arena and she started walking up to me and following me while she was loose, so I think she'll come around and relax nicely with daily handling and just plain old "quality time."

OK, let's see if this will work...
