UPDATE:
AC Called me today to let me know that they did a drive by but they could not see the horses They asked if there was any where they could see the horses without going up the driveway (I said that I had no idea but I did not think so). So she is going to go ahead and go up his driveway and take a look at the horses and talk to the owner She told me that I would have to fill out a statement and sing it with all the details I seen and that I may need to go to court with her stating what I seen. I told her that I would do whatever needed for the horses safety. So I hope to her back from her soon letting me know whats going on

I would have done the same thing!! If there is something wrong that causes them to be like that then AC will check that info and move on. If it is the true.

Why would I do that?

Several years back there was guy that had like 20 horses out in a pasture. And 1 of the horses looked really bad. So I saw him there one day. And stopped and talked to him.

He told me the horse was old. And it had cancer. And the vet advized him to just let the horse die in at the farm. At the time I didn't know any better and I believed him.

Low and behold the horse is still there. It has very noticable marks. So what this old horse with cancer made a full recovery. I don't think so. And I would never trust someone again.

If someone called AC on me. And it was due to a medical issue I would not be upset at all. I would show my proof of what is wrong and move on. And probably be happy that there are still people who care.

You did the right thing.

I had the AC called on us. we had just gotten a horse back from someone who was caring for them while i got moved and settled. When she stepped off the trailer she was so weak from starvation that she slid under the back end when the horse transporter delivered her. He was worrying about her stepping out and backed up to a slight incline and the grass was wet and she slipped under. She scraped all the flesh off of her back legs up to the hock. we got her fixed up and was nursing her back to health. However she was in a pasture that boarded a main road and was such a pathetic little sight folks kept calling the AC. After two visits they informed people that she was being nursed back to health and that was under vet supervision. The AC will determine the needs of the horses. keep us posted

When we brought home my older mare I was SO embarassed and worried that passersby might thing *I* had let her get to such a malnourished and pathetic state that I fed her behind her shelter for quite awhile, ha ha.

Good for you for doing what is right.

I am also calling her right now to find out what is going on because she has not called me yet to let me know that she has stopped by and seen the horses I really do not like how animal control takes there sweet old time around here I hope that horse is still alive when she finally does get around to stopping by.
