Little chookies, I love chookies.

They love to get out and about, remember that they are originally jungle critters.

They make great pets, if handled regularly from hatching they love people.

Have fun with them.

I've had chickens for years and just love them!

I allow mine free range over the ranch. The downside of this is that they find creative places to lay and it is an Easter egg hunt each evening to find the nests to collect the eggs. They have a hen house and nest boxes, and some like to lay there, but it has been a hot summer, so they are lounging around in cool places, like my flower beds.

You'll find they are comical companions with great personalities. They do poop on stuff, though

Google chickens and you'll find lots to read up on. Good luck with your babies. They are very cute!

These are my chicks. This is an old photo. They are 2x as big as this now. I like the fact that this breed is always fluffy, even as adults.

Are they Silkies? I had them too, and they were beautiful!

As for your baby chickens, keep them warm, I always had a lamp over them, so they could keep warm, but leave them a place to get out of the heat, if they are too hot....Cathy
