Natural Horsemanship : Easy, hokey way to make millions off gullible, inexperienced victims. There is simply NO such thing as 'natural' horsemanship--because riding a horse IS NOT natural. Makes me sick.

this is going to sound weird I'm sure but: what is the big difference between NH and regular training? I use Clinton Anderson methods and I don't see a huge difference in everyone else' training

The answer to that question can be found earlier in the thread....go back about, oh, 250-ish pages and you'll see where quite a few people say the exact same thing over and over and over....... well, you get the drift. | ||

$90 for a carrot stick? I paid $25 for a handy stick I like the sticks better because it puts pressure on a horse rather then a sharp pain

I use my carrot stick to beat stupid people with. Well worth the money. lol. I've seen the products that Parelli sells actually help several people with their problem horses. So, it's not all evil.

I prefer to use a long stick when dealing with people. I'll save the shorter one for the horses since they don't talk back and usually smell better. I can't believe how many people veiw this thread. And how many actually post to it. Another week and it might make it to 3000 posts and 80,000 views. Wow. |

Actually, I find an actual carrot stick, a very helpful tool when trying to train a horse. They sell them at the grocery store for .69 cents a pound.
