Or when you have a completely scared out of your mind mare galloping around a 40ft round pen, it ain't gonna stop them, believe me I have been in both of those situations. You can do the NH thing, but what also comes into play is body language, I am not kidding. I can get my mare to walk/trot/canter/stop just by MY body position.

All in how it is applied....
I've been in those situations also, recently. I forgot to mention that when we got the more, Cricket, she was free because the guy was just going to shoot her. He didn't like her attitude (herd boss) and we are pretty sure he thumped on her. So she had aggression issues towards people. After we got her home and let her settle down for a few days, I decided to see what she knew. About the only thing she really knew was how to run, turn, and kick. So, whenever she turned her butt at me and kick, I would whack it with a good firm stick. Now, about a year later, she comes up to us in the lot, can be touched anywhere, stands for a bath, stands tied, and lets us ride her. She is a stout 14.2H black mare weighing at 1150lbs, and not fat a bit. Her riding training is slow going since she doesn't learn real quick and is a bit set in her ways (she is 16 now) but she doesn't forget what we teach her. She was only ever green broke, then bred, and never finished out. Now as far as having a horse charge at me, it is scary. My gelding is only 1200 lbs at 15.2H, but for some reason he had a stick up you know where for about a week. I stuck him in the round pen since he charged me in the lot. The first time he charged in the round pen I bailed over the panel. The second time, I whacked him on the nose with the same sturdy stick. He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at me like he could beleive I just did that. It hasn't happend since.

Now if your crazy horse is running full gallop in your round pen, then let them run untill they tire out. When they get tired, they will listen better. I'm a firm beleiver that when a horse sweats, it helps lubricate thier brains!

I forgot to mention that when my gelding charged me, it was the first time I saw the bottom of his front feet without having to pick them up, and I'm about 5'11".

Body language, all if that is applied in NH. Not crazy gimmicky NH. It seems that the media has changed what it's about.

Surely nothing was ever changed in the name of the media. It's been proven again and again, that people will do what they can to make a buck, and if they can put a fancy lable on it to make it worth 10 times more, then good for them. I think it is the resposibility of veiwer and potential customers to keep some of the so called NH trainers honest, not to mention all the other trainers out there. I'm not saying that all trainers are dishonest, but when you tack on a huge royalty just to have your name mentioned on the product, I think, is just another way to gouge peoples wallets. Especially when you can stop by a Tractor Supply store and pick up most anything you could need.

Some one needs to put something silly in this thread, this is way too seriouse.
