LOL, how'd that last one turn out??!!
Our horses alerted us to the coyote. It was following us and more curious than afraid. We stood for awhile staring at it, then the horses curiosity took over and they started moving towards it. It would run off but keep us in view so that when we headed back it would follow. This went on for quite some time until there was only about 30 feet between us but it eventually lost it's nerve and ran off. It was pretty cool though.

What do you mean when you say "I popped him on the shoulder' how and with what? explain what tools you use and how does it look like?

Our Paloma always has her ears pinned back. I study her she does not bit thank thy Almighty.

I didn't realize this is a bad sign with a horse with there ears pinned back. And it must be stoped based on this forum.

Don't let it get away from you. It is when you miss out on 7 or more pages you think you will never get to the end. This thread is also pretty old but keeps coming back from the dead.

were new with horses and this horse forum. this year infact, very enjoyable.

we worked with what we had commencence. we treated the horses as a dog but bigger, stronger, and treated them as so. also study them how they reacted with other horses and with us.

we we sit with them while they ate, or just study them how they would respond when we interreacted with the horses.

i didn't realize there was a name attached to how we interreact with the horses. or a title giving.

but finding this forum i find others have done same in the way they respond to their horse it's amazine.

"natural horsemanship" was here in this forum we've read about it and was introduced.

"natural hrsemanship" is commencence interreacting with are animals. learning teqnics from other horse owners with there experiencess. just that simple.

Well, I've seen this tread for a while, but never read it.
But let me weigh in.

True 'Natural Horsemanship' is bareback and bridleless.
Anything else is not natural.
And, in Nature, horses bite and kick each other to establish dominance. So lets go bite and kick our horses!!
