I fell today, Well more like "we fell"...

My barn is just getting busy with lessons again. So they asked me to ride one of the old ponies that hasnt been riding in who know how long.

I didnt reli want to ride her because her feet really need to be done, and i could just picture her tripping in the sand or something.

But my trainer insisted i get up on her for a few minutes. So all was well, we walked around for awhile, then trotted like half a circle.

So i was just walking her some more and then BAM....
She tripped, and
Shes on her knees and im flying over her shoulder.
My left leg got stuck inbetween her and the ground.
But lucky i was able to get it out pretty fast.

She just like layed there for a minute, looked like she was going to roll,
then she got up and acted like nothing happend.

It was so weird.
I got back up and rode her for a few minutes then put her away.
She seemed fine, it was just a trip and fall.

Wierd though lol

But shes being used in lessons tomorow (all just walking on leadline) But i really hope that she doesnt trip again.
Shes getting her feet done on Thursday. (even though we have had the farrier out twice this week, my coach just wasnt thinking properly ) i only told her like 20 times that she reli need her feet done.

Im a little sore, my leg hurts a bit from being inbetween her and the ground.
And my hand got a bit cut up. But im alright.
At least it wasnt a long fall down! ahahah

Ouch! I am glad you are ok! Dumb trainer, *shakes head* she needs to keep up on the lesson horses/ponies feet....it could have been some one taking a lesson, and been more serious! Cathy

Thats why she has me she says
Dont get me wrong, i love and shes great! Shes just not exactly organized lol

We actualy had it happen last weekend, a lil 5yr old was riding a diff pony. And she triped (luckly didnt go all the way down, just on her knees) and the lil girl came sliding off over her neck.

My trainer is just getting into the lesson thing, i was her only student for a while (shes been to busy working to get students) and now she has 6 But i got a working student job under how now. So i guess im going to be working extra hard to teach HER how to be organized

I'm so glad that you are ok. It's weird, I get those funny feelings about not wanting to ride in certain situations too. That sucks that the trainer told you to go against your gut and you ended up right.
