Heya, she just didn't know! =) She does now, and she's been really nice, up-front and open minded. We're all concerned for the horse because that's our 'job' :P Sorry if I'm seeming like...I don't know, but I think we can 'give the reins some slack' now

If anything, I'd be a bit cranky with the owner because it is indeed hard on baby joints to jump. If you wanted to, you could mention offhand something like "I bet he'll be a great jumper some day, especially if people go easy on his joints while he's a baby " Just totally friendly and non-accusational. But if you don't want to be involved that's fine too!

Oh yes and I'm sorry about your fall! Some of those just get you so bunged up and it isn't much fun. Feel better!

Damage done by riding a horse to young isn't always apparent at the time sometimes it takes years for it to show, I agree that as a 2 year old he shouldn't be jumping yet, even if he is physically strong enough (which I doubt) then he certainly isn't mentally strong enough and probably pretty unbalanced (could be the reason for his head going down after the jump) Babies should be allowed to be just that. Sorry that you fell and I do hope that you haven't hurt yourself.

o yea thats def another reason why i dont feel comfortable riding him..... since he is very green, i think that i am a lil to much of a green rider *i've rode green horses before, but none as green as him* so i feel pretty shaky riding him, and he is pretty shaky, a little to shaky for me so yea

Umm, yeah. I'd have a talk with the owner. At this rate, he could end up permanently lame by 6. I've seen it happen too many times.

I actually know an Appendix QH that was lame by 6 because they were only jumping him cross rails at 3. Jumping is WAY too much for a little colt, and at 2, he should just be taking baby steps. w/t transitions, backing, etc.

Head and neck injuries can be dangerous, if it's worse tommorow get it checked out. And for future reference when you fall and hit your head, wait for someone to assist you. =] But I'm glad in this case you didn't need any help!

I took a tumble on wenesday. You'll hurt tommorow, unfortunatly thats how things work. Advil is good for soreness. =]
