I am starting to freak out a little bit.

I sent a well, larger, amount of cash in the mail to someone on Monday morning, and it is now Friday. It should have gotten there by now. It usually takes three days or so to get to the place where it was going. I am freakking out. The money was inside several folded papers so it looked like nothing more than a letter. I am just panicking. Do you guys have any opinions or suggestions as to what I can or should do?

You sent cash?!?!

If so, then my best advice is to pray, hard

Did you have delivery confirmation? Tracking? Anything on it? Or just in a regular envelope/stamp?

I would advise praying reaaaaaaaaaaal hard. It's not safe to send any cash in the mail...let alone a large amount.

No delivery confirmation or anything. I feel like such an idiot. I double-checked to make sure the address was right and everything - I just don't know why it WOULDN'T get there.

I had the right address, it looked like a plain old boring letter and not cash...I just don't know what would happen.

And yeah, a regular envelope and stamp.

Can I contact ANYONE about it to track it down? Or see if it got lost in the mail? If it got lost though, it has to reach either the destination or come back to me somehow...right?

Mail can get lost so easily. Either 'lost' lost or 'sent to the wrong place' lost.

Not sure of the circumstances, but are you 100% sure that the person you sent it to might not hide the fact that they received it? (Again, no clue on the circumstances.)

Yeah, I'm sure. I'm 99% sure.

No, unfortunately there's absolutely no way to track it. If it got lost but is still in the system (just didn't get to the right place and hasn't actually been delivered to anyone), then yes it will likely either get to the destination or back to you. But if it's lost like literally 'lost', then likely not.

It was just going across the state line...I can't imagine it's that likely it would get lost lost. We send stuff there all the time and nothing ever happens.
