| Senior Member+ | Not literally, but I sure feel like it. I have a 18mnth old MFT/QH filly. She is just as destructive as her mother, but in a different way. Her mother constantly hurts herself to the point that she is layed up for at least 3 months at a time. Her daughter just tears everything down. She doesnt try to jump fences. She just walkes through them and uses her body and legs to snap the wire or rip poles out of the ground to get through. Well she has been stalled at nights lately. Came out yesterday and one board was down, but she was still in the stall..........Not today. The stall gate is MANGELED!! Looks like it was hit with a truck. She actually ripped the gate hangers (Big "L" shaped screws) out. You can see that her legs were hung in the gate, but she isnt lame and doesnt have a mark on her. She is really starting to tick me off. Nothing works with this mare. I am not gonna waste my time trying hot wire with her. It wont work. She doesnt appear to feel pain. I am being honest here. She is the one with the roachback. She will never be rode or bred. She is a pasture pet and its not good for a pasture pet to tick off the hand that feeds it. LOL. I know that I could never hurt her. But I am sure getting mad here. How in the world does a horse walk through things like this? She just gets up agianst it and pushes till whatever it is gives. Any ideas? The fence that she goes through it barbed wire. So, literally, pain doesnt work. Jessie |

ROTF. I am counting to more then 10. I just dont understand. And I was thinking abot taking her to the vet to see if she has a nuero issue. But I dont think my vet believes in that kinda thing. I am wondering if her back isnt her only problem. Cause she walks backwards sometimes. I dont mean just a few steps. I mean she will walk backward for several feet. No halter, just loose in the pasture and she does this. Almost like she cant control it. Wondering if she sometimes doesnt have a choice but to go forward, like she cant control her feet? Make sense? That would explain A LOT about her. Anyone know how a vet would check for that? The more I watch her, the more I think Neuro issues. Jessie
