Looks interesting. Wonder why they would be asking the public for help with their trials. Generally trials are done by universities not private breeders. Generally people are not asked to pay to assist companies with trials. In all the experimental trials I have done at school we practically beg horse owners to participate then all care, followup, drugs, etc are provided free of charge. If this stuff can do what it claims and if they have enough preliminary research, they could have probably got AQHA or APHA or even one of the equine pharmaceutical companies to provide funding. Sounds fishy. Hopefully the stuff works.

I have a question. If they can pinpoint which spermies have the gene, etc, or whatever it is they're doing...

Why can't this be done in humans? To eliminate some diseases?

EXACTLY. I've never seen any testing that you have to pay to participate in. Why not get a grant anyways? There's big money that could be had if this worked for the long haul. Not only that, but look at the lack of info on their site? That seems odd to me too.

Maybe they're just doing this as a way to make money? Like Savvy said, it's very odd how they're making them PAY for it.

Because AI is boring... I have visions dancing in my head of it being over-used as a way to strain out "weak" genes, leaving us with a super-powerful race which will eventually so overpopulate the earth that our resources will be exhausted and we'll have to resort to eating each other. Hmm.

Interesting. Let's hope it works.

Someone been reading too much Stephen King? *patpat*

But seriously. If they can supposedly do it with horses, why hasn't it gone on to testing other animals? It just suspicious, that's all.

I does seem a bit off to be asking for money from those in the trial phase.
