| Senior Member | When I was riding her in the ring. I was mostly warming her up (blowing some winds out so she wasn't so frisky) before I went out to ride her in the WIDE open. I was also asking her to collect, she was bobbing her head around some so when I got what I was asking for I knew it was time to move onto something else. Which I moved on and took the Lavender Cam video. I didn't initially plan to jump her that day but went a head and set some small bunny jumps up for her. Most of the time I'll work her in the ring for about 10 -15 minutes. Collect at a walk, and trot, lope a circle or two, back her up and let her stand still. Then we usually just ride around the pasture just trail riding and exsposing her to different things. I've ridden her down the road once or twice and did GREAT. |

| Senior Member+ | Agreeing with the others... this horse is a saint. She is getting a sensory overload from your numerous (and mixed) signals. It may seem like she's "enjoying it" now (and that's not what I see in these videos... no offense), but you're setting her up for a meltdown. What bothers me the most about your videos is that there seems to be no structure or real goal to what you're doing at any given time. It's push-push-tug-kickkickkick-push-push-tap... you're flipping your reins around, your feet are out of the stirrups at times and you're just completely disorganized. I think it would help you a good deal to go into every session knowing exactly what you plan to do and how to accomplish it... stick to that lesson and stop when you're done with what you planned to do for the day. You owe it to the horse to know what you're going to do before you do it and be clear and concise.

| Senior Member+ | Posting videos on youtube isn't the same as actively asking for critiques on this forum. Are you being paid to ride this mare?
