Husky Hancock - Know Anything About Him

We just got a blue roan mare in foal to Husky Hancock. Do you guys know anything about him or his bloodlines? She is due to foal any day, not sure which day since she was pasture bred, but the guestimate is mid April.

She is a good looking horse, but not what we are used to. She looks more foundation bred than halter, but yet I want to say that Western Impressive is her grandaddy. But she may have the shortest back I have ever seen on a horse and that coupled with the fact that she is 16 hands high and is colored like a blue merle dog, it is taking a lot of getting used to. From what I am learning, blue roan is a popular color, I guess it may be an acquired taste. But she is really sweet, so she is growing on me.

I was just wondering about the stud cause I am used to planned breedings based on research that we have done and having one about to foal and never having heard of or laid eyes on the stud, it is driving me crazy. So have ya'll ever heard of Husky Hancock?

Here's Husky Hancock's ped.

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/husky+hancock

As you can see he goes back to Roan Hancock to Joe Hancock, Triangle Lady 12 to Peter McCue and Oklaholma Star.
All these are Foundation bloodlines. The Roaning color comes from the Hancock Lines (think Blue Valentine who was a Hancock line). Hancock horses are loved by ranchers for their bottom and sand and they are also known for their ability to be boogers to train at first (they like to buck) but once they learn something, they've got it forever and put it to use. I like a little bit of Hancock in our using horses, but just enough to give them the sold foundation to make long term using horses.

If the foal will have Impressive then you've also got the influence of Three Bars in there and you've got the best of cow and speed. However, because of the Impressive, if you dont know what the mares HYPP status is, I would deffinately test the foal.

Here's a different Ped. site that i like better and has more on his line for you.

http://www.maple-webranch.com/maple/mapleframe

We have a 4 yr old blue roan colt grandson of The Continental, sire side, and further back Hancock on the Dams side and he's turning into a great using horse.

Edit: Oops, you'll have to click on the ped. box and type in the name Husky Hancock and then you can see it.

Oh, I should have mentioned we have the mares papers and she has been tested as N/N for HYPP. So that will not be an issue. Thanks for the links to the pedigrees. I need to look up and see what the color options blue roan to blue roan are. Sounds like we will have a baby with loads of potential, I'll just have to find a way to tap into all of it.

I was trying to find her pedigree, but it is not listed on either of those pages. But her name is His Royal Duchess and she is a by a son of Isle Breeze and out of a daughter of Western Impressive.
