Hunters --- Trying to analyze a deer can anyone help?

Hubby had been going out to the deer stand since that “day he left me an hour ago”.
He says there must be a huge buck out there, cause there are always scrapes left on trees, BIG trees. He has not gotten one yet. So he moved his stand yesterday morning.
Today he told me that this buck is (insert naughty word here) ___ing with him. I laughed and asked for an explanation. He said “well he left scrapes right on the tree I am sitting in, its funny that he didn’t get his horns caught in the steps, then more scrapes on another BIG tree, that is close by, then to top it all off he took a ____ (naughty word) (took a dump? Left a big pile?) right under my tree stand!!!!!”
OK we both agree that this buck is watching him come and go and only comes out of hiding to try to get rid of you by messing up your stuff, he obviously does not want you in his territory.
I know nothing about deer hunting, but I asked him if there wasn’t a scent type of thing that they make so you could get him to come out when you are there. He said Yea, and he would tear me and my stand apart…. Laugh again.

So tonight the plan is to leave a bit early, and double back to see if he comes out…. Anyone ever have a “smart” one and did you ever get him?
Any suggestions on this smart aleck in the woods?

I personally could care less. The bigger the rack the smarter the deer!
I know what your saying though.

I'm not great with hunting but we have some friends who go up in their tree stands at night because there are few of them that can't spot any other time We have a large family living literally on the other side of our pasture and they even get in with our horses but they ONLY come out at dusk, you'll never see them any earlier. The big daddy is elusive and we have only seen him a few times and it's almost always completely dark when we do, he's a smartie lol He's also HUGE!

On a side note, I was out at a friends house and one of their friends had been out in his stand at night, he FELL out of his stand and got tangled in his rope LMAO He called for help and my friends hubby jumped on his 4 wheeler with a spotlight looking for the hunter hanging upside down in the tree in the middle of the woods LMAO
He was fine but he never got his buck lol

Bucks tend to move a lot later at night then does do, but also later in the morning. I would suggest to him to head out really early in the morning, about 2 to 3 hours before sun up and wait. He will be bed down for sure that early in the morning and unless he is bedding down in the tree, he probably won't know your hubby is there.

Getting him at night might be a lost cause, since they tend to wait until almost dark to start moving. Most big bucks are harvested in the mornings, not at night.
