the best way to learn is to do. you can read all day long, and yes it will help, but practicing is the only way you will be able to do anything of the things you read about. are you in training? do you have a horse? how long have you been riding?

will you post a pic of your horse?? well I'm not really sure what you want but I'll just give oyu some general info in hunters for flat work you want a nice long and low frame with the horse really bringing its hind end underneath themselves, they should be elaxed with a nice slow but long stride-for hunters flat kneed movement it what they look for knee action isn't wanted, and they should have a nice flowing stride with a calm disposition-D ring bits o/f-around the course you should have a nice steady consistant pace with a big stride but not a quick one if that makes any sense, the distances should come easily and the horse should jump round with tight knees, and clear the fence without brushing/knocking any rails, lead changes should be smooth almost unnoticable and the horse should be enjoying what he is doing hope this helps

honestly I think she'd do perfectly fine jumping I mean not Grand Prix but hunters don't jump that big the highest is like 3' maybe some 3'3"-6" classes but I'm sure she'd be more than capable of doing 2'6" which if she is a pony is what the childrens would be for her which is a great class to do, I mean she wasn't bred for jumping 5' jumps but I see nothing that would impede her from doing what you want at least to start with
