Can I use that as my signature quote? I so love that! Priceless! Go, Kelli!

Hey fashionistas look here. Non-pro pic taken June of 2007 at a USEF H/J show. Pic is taken late so no comments on the horse's form (since it is obvious to anyone who knows anything about jumping it already has unfolded and is in landing mode).

Just to let you know, people are trying to have the rust breeches come back into the H/J world. Personally, unless you're George Morris, STAYYYY AWAYYYY. lmfao. GM is so cute in his rust breeches.

I can say yes to that.......and I could when I was younger too. Why? Because I was taught by my parents to know what I was capable of and not worry about some bratty kid who thinks its fun to make fun of me. Why else? Because when I go into a show ring, I'm there to do a job, not worry about who's saying what.

As should everyone else. Those lil snots will get their own someday...or they won't,,,but either way, if you do well, THEY look dumb.

kelli, you have an answer to everything dont ya? LOL

as far as hunter, always go traditional - buy the best you can afford
im an eventer gettin my youngster into showing, so we go to hunter and open shows so we can do flat classes - and i wear my dressage/jumper (black - gasp) jacket, white rat, tan/white breeches, tall boots, etc and place as much as i did back in my hunter days (lol a year ago! Lmao! quit shortly after i turned 13 (last year), got a 2yo & 10yo eventer, and stick with eventing, jumpers and dressage )

What colour your Jacket is or what helmet you are wearing really is not going to help you much now is it ?

Know what is? less time talking about riding and more time doing it.

Come on

Idk if you've ever heard, but I dont want to mention names, but a bunch of junior riders gang up (and make fun of) a very well known equitation rider because she's been seen around the show grounds with a hello kitty backpack. They all purchased "kill kitty" or "dead kitty" shirts.

And once you hear people talking about you, are you going to be comfortable around them? THis is then going to affect how you perform in the ring. So, fashion does play a part in the hunter world.

But I agree 100% with Preppy
lol but that does not phase me in the slightest. As a matter of fact, it would prbably motivate me to beat them even more
Im a thick-headed person lol.

Since I was the first one to say stay away from black coats. I just wanted to say for the record that the reason I said it was that from what I've always know black coats are considered formal and should only be used in certain things. I did not say no black b/c it is not "instyle" just that I've always been told that black is formal. But as I've said before that's just me and what I've learned over the years
