How to win at halter?

Get her leading at a walk and trot and standing up well...as well as doing "whoa" and I will tell you how to get her more animated and using her neck correctly....

Also see if your local Arabian Club/Association will hold a few halter clinics this winter and if they do go to them!!!! If they can get Michael Byatt GO!!!!!!

Felicity's trainer/farrier has been training Arabs/Half Arabs for a long time. He said next Friday if we bring her out, he'll fine tune the things she already knows and teach her to park out like a real Arabian.

I'll check the AHA website to see if they're hosting any clinics in the area in the near future. That would be something REALLY good to go to.

That's great that your getting some professional help...but remember....Arabians do not park out..... they are "stood up and presented"

Remember you are going to an open show and if they are like the open shows here that I go to sometimes it is usually a BREED judge. Sometimes you get an arab judge a QH horse one a morgan one etc. But some of these judges will pick the breed they show and train and prefer and only pic those breeds no matter how good or bad they are. Many of us around here dont go to open shows anymore because it is usually a QH judge and we have arabs so we dont even get looked at. Its sad but true around here. You could have the western pleasure national champion and if its not the right judge it does not matter. So remember when your showing in open shows that could be a factor to, but I'm not sure about your area.
