You could try placing an ad somewhere, like on a horse classified site, or maybe in a tack shop. Talk to trainers/other horsey friends. Many good horses are found through word of mouth. Good luck!!

Usually it is called leasing, just so you know. May make it easier to search. Check your local craiglist, often people post horses on there.

That's not true at all...if you are PART boarding a horse, you are paying for PART of their care.
As in PART of the shoes/farrier, PART of the vet, PART of the feed, and as stated in the title, PART of the board.

Usually people place up ads on places like Horsetopia, or Kijiji ect.
Just go to the site and type up Horse for lease, or pb. I'm sure you'll find something.
Were are you located, I might no of some in that area.
And yes, usually for Partboarding you Pay Part of the horses board, and If the owner is also riding the horse, they would be paying full bills.

Check the barns and riding stables around your area, there maybe someone that want's to do a half lease, where you split the costs down the middle, and each get 3 days to ride, and the horse gets one day off....with the rising costs these days, I bet there are plenty of horse owners that board, that are having a hard time paying the board and ferrier bills....good luck

Yep you are. I full leased my mare before I acutally owned her and I had to pay everything because the owner had no access to her. It was like I owned her and eventually they gave her to me because I took such good care of her. So it worked out for me when I did not have the lump sum to purchase a horse.

i'm on my 2nd loan pony, found both of them in my local tack shop which is 5 mins a way from the yard. also if your yard has a notice board check there too as may be one up for loan.
I have dougal 2 days a week and any extra days that need covering and i pay £25 a week and it goes straight into his 'emergency' fund pot thing in case he casts or colics again. they pay for the shoes and stuff but if i loose a apir of boots for example i have to replace them.

For partial board you still do everything but can have certain things done for you IF you pay an additional fee. My mare ispartial boarded and we still pay for everything. The only way somebody else is going to pay part of everything is if you are on some type of lease. I know that in some cases the leasee covers part of the cost as they don't really completely own the horse. This will vary by location and the people who own the facilities themselves as not everybody is going to offer extra services.
