| Senior Member+ | how to clip the face? just wondering what you do with the horses face hair when you clip your hors4e. My friend has gave her horse a trace clip and has left all of her hair on and i think it looks rediculas, are you meant to clip the lower half of the face? And what do you do for all types of clips???

| Senior Member+ | set your small clippers on the least fine setting and blend the clip in (if your horse won't let you use the big body clippers)--but not every horse will let you do this, so be understanding when you see a face not clipped! |

| Senior Moderator | I normally leave it on along with legs on a full body clip, however I do go and clean it up, basically giving him defination to his face like the summer time just not completely shaved down. Although this year I might be a little different and shave it off. |

| Senior Member | We have a horse at our barn with cushings, so we ahve to body clip her year round. We don't clip her face (she doesnn't like it, so we just let it be) so yea, she does look like she has a puff ball head, but she's a sweetie, and it's not her fault. If you're horse doens't like it, or you're not showing, I'd just leave their face. But then again, I'm used to hroses who hate clippers. |
