put it in the dishwasher

to help maintain your bit...always rinse it off after its been in your horses mouth. This will cut down on build up and make it much easier to clean in the future.

I leave the mouthpeices alone and polish the cheeks. For the mouthpeice I will usually just use warm water and a scrub brush it get off all of the nasty stuff

i dont use anything apart from water. when ive finished each ride, i have a bucket in my shed with a soft steelo in it, (what u use to clean pots) and use that to get off any gunk. it never scratches the bit and always gets rid of any gunk!! cheap and fast and effective!!

Hot water, and some elbow grease.......and make sure you wash it after everytime you use it!!!!!!!!!

When I am done riding, I look at it before I hang it up to see if it is nasty. If so, I will wipe it off with a wet rag, or paper towel. When I take apart my bridle for cleaning, I throw the bit into a bucket of warm water...by the time I am done cleaning my bridle, my bit has soaked clean

My post is kinda later than you were wanting... but I let mine soak in warm water and Listerine mouthwash. Then I scrub the whole thing with tooth past to get off any gunk that didn't come off while soaking... plus it polishes it too, I would never use silver polish on any part of the bit, that is just my opinion though. Good luck!
