But remember this is the world wide web that everyone has access too. I had posted pics of a neglect case, but I had no fear as the owner knew it was me that called on him. I ended up bringing the horse to my house caring for it, and everything had a happy ending, but that may not be so for you.

I personally think you should call. It does sound like they are in bad shape.
I agree with this! I wouldn't advise you to take pics of those horses and post them on here either. I would take pics to show to the authorities though.

Yes, a few of them are far too skinny and neglected. I do know that in QH circles and if you are an official you are required to take pictures and report this kind of abuse and anyone who treats their horses like this should not own any animal. I'm sure they also have not been vaccinated either because any decent vet would have had them removed from wherever they are if the are in this kind of condition.

I hate to be the one to be a tattle tale, but would also hate myself even more if I found out the animal died because I didn't do anything about it.

I just cant understand how any horse owner could let a horse get to such an extreme and unhealthy condition. Applause to thoes of you who rescue and care for abused horses. I would not hesitate to make a phone call if I came across a horse in such shape. It is really very sad.

Definitely report them. It is better to err on the side of caution. If a horse died because you didn't, you wouldn't forgive yourself but if there is nothing wrong with them at worst, it is a wasted joureny for the AC. I know which I would prefer.
