How old were you when to started riding?

How old were you when to started riding? Not your first ride, but when you started riding regularly or taking lessons etc.

edited: ugh... why do my busy threads always have errors in the title?

I was about 8. But then I stopped riding for a while when I was nine, and then started again when I was twelve. I've been actually improving and learning for two years-I don't think I learned too much when I was little.

I was 7 or 8.. somewhere in the age bracket. But it wasn't really serious.
When I was about 12 that's all I wanted to do.

My aunt had a shetland pony mare named Ginger. I started riding that pony (with help) when I was just 2-3 years old! I loved that pony....in fact, I named my first horse Ginger when I became an owner at 22
