| Full Member | How much would you pay For this saddle? Quote: Dark brown (havana). Very good condition. I bought it as a Wide but fits more like a Medium Wide. 17" AP . Traditionally styled all purpose made in England for Whitman. Wool flocked, gusseted panels are even and soft.. Knee and thigh rolls with padded flaps for a secure seat. Seat is smooth English leather.. Good all around saddle Seat, pommel and cantle are flawless. This is a high end saddle that is so hard to find without dropping over two grand these days. Saddle is very comfortable. Hope the pics show up... Thanks!!!! |

| Senior Member+ | That is a nice saddle! If I were looking for a narrow-medium tree AP saddle I would be happy to pay $500 for it.

| Senior Member+ | Yes. See how high it is up under the front gullet? It looks like it will fit a high withered TB type horse nicely.

![]() ![]() | It's way too narrow for my horse (he's an arabian), so I'd say it's narrow. He'd wear a medium-wide one. But, if it would fit him, I'd pay around $400-600. It looks like a nice saddle. |

| Full Member | Thanks, guess this ones out, my boy takes a medium - wide too. I can't get a trial on this saddle, I was just looking around to see if there were any good deals and cam across this one, I liked. I have a good saddle already but I want another one just for schooling and training him. Thanks! |

That is definitely a Medium or Medium-Wide. The high pommel is there to accommodate a horse with higher withers, and it creates a deeper seat. A lot of old style Courbettes have that high & tight pommel, but the tree fit is still the same as the more current style lower pommels. In the current saddle market, I would put its value around $400-500.
